Questions to Ask About HVAC Financing
Financing is available on HVAC replacement through Cool Guys. Here are the questions worth asking before you sign anything.
Ask the lender these
- What is the total amount financed, and the total you will have paid at the end of the term?
- What is the monthly payment and how many months does it run?
- What happens at the end of any promotional period?
- Is there a prepayment penalty if you pay it off early?
- Who is the lender, and are their disclosures in writing before you sign?
Ask the contractor these
- What exactly does the financed amount cover — equipment only, or the full installed scope including duct, electrical, permits and testing?
- Does the price change depending on whether I finance or pay outright?
- What is the parts warranty, what is the labour warranty, and who honours each?
